Sense of Place
Qualities & Characteristics
There are a lot of aspects that go into creating a 'sense of place'. Some of them are tangible - such as walls, doors, and windows, or the type of flooring, where it is located, or is it one story or two. It is easy to understand how these types of physical characteristics shape a place.
But making a house into a home takes much more than just the physical attributes. It is a collection of many less tangible ideas - such as hope, security, refuge.
